What is the Title Tag

The Title Tag is not a Meta Tag. The Title Tag is an HTML code that shows the words that appear at the top title bar of your browser. The Title Tag is not displayed anywhere else on the page.
It is these words or phrase that appears as the title of your page in the hyperlink listings on the search engine results. The users’ in-turn click on this hyperlink to go to your website from Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

Therefore, the significance of the Title Tag is evident as all search engines use the Title Tag to gather information about your site.

Syntax for the Title Tag is:

Head Tag
“TITLE Tag” Here you write the Title of your Page “Closed Title Tag”
Closed Head Tag

Useful Tips for Writing the Title Tag

The Title Tag plays a vital role in determining your site’s search engine rankings. One needs to pay attention to the words that appear in your Title Tag and the order in which they appear.

Title Tag announces the summary of the content appearing on the page. So In the Title Tag describing the content of the page.

You could put the product or service you are offering, in the Title Tag, instead of your firm or company’s name.

Most users search for specific products and services, not company names. If you do wish to include the site name, then you can add it at the end of the Title Tag. Having your most important keyword phrases towards the beginning of the Title Tag helps display your title in bold in the SERP (search engines results page).

Title Tags are also the text that gets captured when users bookmark your page.

Goggle usually reads about 90 characters of your Title Tag. So, leverage this length to cover prominent keywords relevant to the page. A common mistake webmasters make is to have the same Title Tag throughout the site. You must leverage different Title Tags for each page and customizing it depending on the content theme of each page.

The Meta Description Tag

The Meta Description Tag is an HTML code that allows you to give a short and concise summary of your web page content. The words placed in this Meta Tag, are often used in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP), just below the Title Tag as a brief description of your page.

In the Search Engine Results Pages, after reading the Title of the page, a user goes through the description of the page and decides whether she/he wants to go to your site or not.
It is therefore important that your Meta Description Tag is nicely composed describing your page offering while enticing the user to click on your listing.

Syntax for Meta Description Tag is:
Head
Meta name=”description” content=”Here you write description that covers the most important aspects of meta tags in relation to website optimization or Sheffield SEO.”
closed Head

Useful Tips for Writing Meta Description

Tag In case you have not provided any Meta Description Tag to your web page, the search engines try to make one for you, often using the first few words of your web page or a text selection where the keyword phrases searched by the users appear. If the Search Engine makes up a description by picking up text from your page, it is not necessary that the generated description would do justice to your web page.

The Meta Description Tag should be written in such a way that it interests the user, thus tempting her to click on the link to your site and visit your web page.

The Meta Description Tag needs to be kept brief yet informative. About 25-30 words description should do fine. Keywords and key phrases should be included in the Meta Description Tag, though care should be taken not to repeat them too often. Like the Title Tag, the Meta Description Tag should be different and customized for each page depending on the content theme of each page.

The two most successful techniques for enhancing your online image are: search engine optimization, and pay per click advertising campaigns.

Basically it’s all about helping customers find your website and business. A pay per click advertising campaign is easy to start. You open an account and deposit some money as a starting balance with the search engine company that you are advertising with. You enter your site’s URL, title and description and bid on relevant keywords. A site selling wine might bid on keywords such as “wine”, “red wine”, “wine club” etc.

When someone searches for “wine club” the details of your site appear, in the form of a search result with the URL, title and description you entered. If they then click on your listing, your account is debited the amount you have bid on that keyword.

Pay per click offers a high level of assurance that your campaign is reaching the proper target. What makes them so effective is that someone who has searched for your product is already qualified when they come to your site, which is selling the product or service they are looking for. Pay per click campaigns, however, are not perfect. Without constant monitoring, you sometimes risk incurring advertising costs that can spiral out of control, focusing on terms that don’t convert well for your product or services or lose out during a bidding war.

It is important that your keywords are relevant and link to the page that contains information relating to that keyword. Bidding on keywords can be expensive. An alternative strategy is to bid on related keyword phrases which no-one else is bidding on. You may then be #1 in the rankings, monopolizing the traffic for those searches and only have to pay the minimum amount per click through. Related keywords and phrases can include synonyms, incorrect spellings, alternative words and phrases, closely related words/phrases, and so on.

Then, perhaps most importantly of all, you need a landing page: (a) specific page(s) created for visitors referred from marketing campaigns to maximize conversion. Landing pages can be a series of related pages within an existing site structure or they can be a microsite, which is specifically setup for a campaign, typically with its own campaign URL – an example is Norwich Unions (faintly annoying?) www.quotemehappy.com

There are different types of landing pages that work best depending on the campaign objectives a landing page integrated into the sites structure or a landing page specifically created for the campaign.

Integrated pages may not work so well in terms of conversion. Bespoke landing pages tend to produce higher conversion rates but it requires more effort and maintenance. So you need to work out whether the cost of producing this type of page is offset by the potentially higher conversion rates and better campaign results.

Some simple guidelines for effective London PPC are keep ads and landing pages relevant; provide enough detail for a decision; capture the audiences imagination and their data as quickly as possible; forget the gurus page length, graphics and menu options type arguments and FIND OUT WHAT WORKS, as in all direct marketing test, test, test.

What’s the most important part of an Sheffield SEO campaign?

If you’re like many of the business owners that are beginning to see the importance of search engine optimization as a marketing tool, chances are that you’ve come across quite a bit of contradictory information. You’ve probably heard a dozen opinions of what the most important part of your Sheffield SEO campaign is – everything from links to title tags and everything in between.

The fact of the matter is that selecting the right keyword phrases is the single most important aspect of any Sheffield SEO campaign. If you choose keywords that are too competitive you may never achieve any ranking for them, and if you choose keywords that no one searches for you will not receive any traffic even if your web site ranks #1. That’s why it’s so important to put a little extra effort into your keyword selection or hire a professional to do it. Let’s say that you are a real estate agent in Tampa, Florida who wants to generate additional business from the internet. While it may sound great to target the keyword phrase “real estate” because it gets over 67,000 searches each day, you would really be much better off targeting a keyword phrase like “tampa bay waterfront real estate” which gets about 6 searches each day. Visitors searching for 3-4 word keyword phrases are more likely to convert to clients than those searching for more general keyword phrases. When coupled with the competition you’ll face for a general term like “real estate” you’re ROI quickly dissipates, despite the high number of daily searches. You have to consider that someone using the keyword phrase “real estate” could be any number of people outside of our target market, such as a person looking for general real estate information, a person looking for a career in real estate, or a person looking for real estate in a location that you don’t serve.

By choosing keyword phrases based on relevance, traffic and competition you will get the highest ROI out of your Sheffield SEO campaign and see results more quickly.

The success of a website is largely determined by its ranking in the search engines. But how are these rankings achieved? How are they determined by the search engine? What should be done when ranking falls? Understanding the workings of the search engines is important for any website owner to remain competitive. Finding a search engine optimization company can be a valuable resource to understand and improve search engine ranking.

Search engines have a set of algorithms in place to index or inspect all types of websites. The search engines send bots to sites to index them according to the algorithms and then all the information is stored in a data center. The algorithms consist of a number of specifications including things like keyword density, meta tags, number of pages, content, and much, much more. The bots visit the site frequently to monitor the site for updates and changes.

There are a number of techniques that make up search engine optimization, the method used be website developers to help improve ranking. Depending on the saturation of a particular keyword in a market, a site can rank high or way down the list. Choosing the right keywords to target can make or break your ranking. Keyword placement within the site is also a great contributor to ranking.

Other factors that can affect ranking are updating the site and placing relevant content on the site. The more quality content a site has the better. Relevant content helps the search engines to pick up keywords and keyword phrases. Search engines are also partial to frequently updated content which could range from articles, links, or any other related content.

When ranking falls, it can be contributed to a number of factors. It does not mean that the site is gone forever. Search engines used different data centers to provide results on any given day. Check back in a few hours or a day or so, and the results can be different. Search engines also update their algorithms from time to time. Sometimes these updates can be minor, and in other cases they are major. There may be a new competitor in your market. Visit their site and see why they have the advantage.

Achieving top search engine rankings is competitive. Position in the search engine results can make or break a website. A search engine optimization company is an excellent way to make your site search engine compatible. With exclusive search marketing services you can get your site to number one.

By Jose Nuez

As an SEM Specialist, I must understand the different algorithms search engines use in their work. I also need to have an understanding of how my client’s target audience searches these engines.

Analytical tools and their test results offer the most valuable information about visitors searching and browsing behavior. The resulting traffic changes and most frequent keyword phrases that appear in these web analytics reports are the Site Catalyst of any London SEO campaign.

This helps one understand the information retrieval algorithms and heuristics process that takes place when search engines qualify a web page for a particular keyword phrase. That is why in order for a web page to be considered relevant, its content organization must accommodate a wide variety of direct and semi-direct search behavior, which is mostly disclosed by its own metrics, in a given time period.

Part of the important information web analysis provides is the amount of words and phrases people type into search queries to find a particular web page, and it is equally important to include this information in order to receive targeted search engine traffic. That is just one of the aspects in the existing relation between web analytics and London SEO: understanding how visitors search and browse websites.

In a similar fashion, search engine generated traffic is reported by a web analytics tool, including the phrases entered into the search engine that were used to find a website. By separating the paid traffic generated by SEM from the total traffic that was referred by search engines, you can monitor the effectiveness of London SEO efforts. Higher-end analytic tools break out organic search engines into a separate report.

Another area where this statistical data is used for London SEO benefits is in copywriting. Understanding how to write for the target audience of a website is key. Finding the right terms to use semantically within the copy of a web page is one of the main components of all successful London SEO efforts. A SEM should always consider what each web page communicates to site visitors and search engines. This content should not only help achieve top search engine rankings, but it should also encourage searchers to visit the website.

To improve positioning on search engine results pages, you need to be able to measure effectiveness. These tools make measuring your improvement on search engines easy, but it is really important to know is if the improvement affects traffic and sales. By monitoring and tracking this information frequently, a London SEO can make recommendations, prove these recommendations work, and accurately report on the true effectiveness of these changes. Web analytic helps shorten the gap between what you think your visitors are searching for, and what they actually are.

What’s it like to work for a world class Liverpool SEO? What secrets could you glean on website promotion? The Liverpool SEO business is sexy, exciting and challenging. While most people want to improve and promote their site, web promo companies often deal with such diverse clients, it sharpens their instincts for what works and what don’t work in the Liverpool SEO game. This article presents a few tricks, tips and myths about how to Liverpool SEO your website into GOOGLE heaven.

Content + Liverpool SEO = Top GOOGLE Positions

If you have great content and decent Liverpool SEO techniques, you’re webs site should do pretty well in the search engines. If you have Liverpool SEO stuffed pages full of garbage keyword phrases, sooner or later, you’re gonna pay the price. There are too many billions of dollars at stake for cheap tricks to raise search engine rankings for long. Combine great content with great Liverpool SEO instincts and bang… you’re website traffic will skyrocket. Here are some common tips, you may have heard, but are worth repeating.

Website Design – Liverpool SEO Strategy

If you can’t highlight and grab the text off of your website – look out! If you can’t grab it and paste it into a document, how do you think a search engine is gonna read it put it in their search engine. Sure, people will tell you, don’t worry, the search engines index it not problem. Maybe they are right, my gut say Watch Out! Keep it simple!

Keyword Selection – Liverpool SEO Strategy

You can spend hours researching your keywords, try lots of combo’s and still get zero results in the search engines. What the problem? CONTENT! The key words and the content have to flow together. For example, if you write about dog grooming and switch to a few cat grooming examples, you may defeat your Liverpool SEO efforts. If you write for the search engine like you were talking to a ten year old, you’ll probably get much higher Liverpool SEO results.

Meta Tag Mania – Liverpool SEO Strategy

There are tons of meta tag how to’s to read and confuse you. Here’s a tip for writing better meta tags – pretend you’re asking them out on a date and just say what you have to say without all the bull corn. For example, “I’m ah, going to be in the area this evening, and wonder if you would ahh. oh yeah and I just rebreed something… ah, what was I trying to say is ahh, there’s a nice film tonight if you would like to ah… Now compare that speech that never got to the point with, “Look girl, I think youre beautiful, would you like to see a movie with me?” And shut up!!!

Copy Writing – Liverpool SEO Strategy

Ditto for the copy writing – less is more. Pretend you’re writing for NPR. What do they do? They tell you what they are going to tell you, tell you what the have to say and then tell you what the told you. NPR are no dummies, if that’s what they do, it must be good so jump on the band wagon and blow your trumpet.

Image Tags Copy – Liverpool SEO Strategy

By the time you’re concerned with adding image tags to Liverpool SEO your website, you either have a great site way, way up their in the search engines or you’re a Liverpool SEO junky that needs help. No body can assure you #1 rankings on Google so don’t set your sails for impossible goals. Someday, we’ll all wake up in the 1980′s again and discover the sense of freedom people back in pre-internet era.

Web Site Theme- Is your sites theme search engine friendly?

Your websites theme is very important to its success. When your site is indexed by search engines, they actually review your sites theme as well as other content. The theme must be carefully planned. Here are some tips for developing a proper web site theme that will make search engines happy as well.

Choose a design that revolves around keywords and keyword phrases. For example, if your sites keywords are sporting goods, choose design elements that are associated with sporting goods. Use bright colors such as red and yellow. Use elements that are high impact and exciting, similar to thoughts associated with sporting goods.

Focus on the types of products, services, and information you seek to promote. You are selling sporting goods, not bedding. Focus on sporting goods and stay on that approach. Dont get side tracked with a certain color theme you favor. Make your keywords the main focus of your theme. Make them bigger, and make them stand out against all the other content.

Search engine spiders review website theme as to how it relates to keywords. It is a complicated algorithm, but it takes into consideration the use of keywords and links. Search engines look for lots of content related to the main theme throughout the site, so its a good idea to have lots of information written for your site.

Lots of work should go into choosing the perfect theme for your site. Make sure you are truly representing what you wish to provide. If you get bogged down with too many keywords or keyword phrases, you may need to consider additional websites that focus around this theme, instead of flooding your own site with too many products.

Remember, the theme of the website should be appealing to users as well as the search engines. Once a theme is finalized, there are many more steps to make your site optimized for search engines. A theme is only the beginning. But it should be a strong foundation from which your site will grow and develop.

Top 5 Pay Per Click Search Engines Brings Targeted Traffic To Your Site

1. Google AdWords – Adwords is one of Googles advertising services. AdWords is the largest and most popular of all the pay per click search engines. Google provides great tools to help advertisers, including Google Analytics which is integrated with AdWords to help you discover which keywords perform and which you should cut. Make sure that your Google Adwords ad has the right keywords so that you can drive youre laser targeted traffic to your site. Using Google Adwords to help boost the drive to increase laser targeted traffic will prove to be very beneficial as many other companies can attest to. The benefits are high with the cost relatively justifiable.

2. Yahoo! Search Marketing Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Googles Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched. Yahoo! Search Marketings main product, Sponsored Search, provides sponsored listings in search results on the Webs top portals and search engines, reaching over 80% of active Internet users. These include Yahoo! MSN, Excite, CNN, Altavista, Infospace, ESPN and many more. Yahoo! offers two sign-up plans, FastTrack and SelfServe. For $199 the FastTrack plan will provide you with expert research of your website and recommend effective search terms. If you want fast results and youre willing to pay top dollar, Yahoo! Search Marketing is the place to advertise your site. Its a well known site with a good reputation – a professional site with a great system and excellent traffic.

3. Microsoft AdCenter – Microsoft adCenter is the new player in the big league when it comes to pay per click search marketing, but its already making an impact. Microsoft adCenter offers a great range of features including the ability to target your ads to Live Search users who match your optimum target-market criteria. Signing up is quick and easy with a $5 sign-up fee. If youre spending $30 a day in search advertising you can take advantage of QuickLaunch and have one of the Microsoft Media Specialists help you plan, create, execute, and analyze your first adCenter campaign.

4. MIVA – After two top pay per click search engines google Adwords and Yahoo Adcenter, youre pretty much shooting in the dark. Miva pay per click search engine, which is probably one of the cheapest pay per click services around with decent traffic, doesnt convert well at all. The truth is, you will make very few sales, if any at all, from Miva Pay Per Click Search Engine and the lesser known pay per click services. The reason is because most of your targeted traffic comes from the English speaking countries. MIVA pay per click search engine is a prevalent search engine which is extremely well known for it offers cheaper alternatives in terms of pricing for the distribution of the various vertical and contextual pay per click ads. It is to be noted in this case that in order to facilitate the transfer of vertical and contextually focused contents, MIVA pay per click search engine has devised two separate networks which are known as the MIVA Core Network and the MIVA Precision Network.

5. Enhance – A strong emerging Sheffield PPC search engine with solid quality control. Ive found their program to be an easy, effective way to purchase Sheffield PPC (pay-per-click) advertising. An interesting feature available on Enhance, which is not available on Google, is a feature called LogoLink where you can upload an 8040 pixel image thats no larger than 8KB in size. image will then be displayed alongside your Sheffield PPC ad. AccuMatch system expands keywords to include plurals, misspellings, and (most importantly) simple phrases. Overall, Im impressed with Enhance Interactives service and prices, which Ive found to cost only 20%-30% what a Google click would cost for the same keyword

Two Vital Tools For London SEO Well, For Me

The Internet has revolutionized business and you need a presence to make money in the digital age. While everyone has their favorite tools, I prefer two in particular.

Two Vital Tools For London SEO Well, For Me

Most businesses build sites without really having a clue regarding how to go about it. The first step in developing a business site is not building it. Instead, you have to focus on the internet marketing aspect of the business and design accordingly. To this end, there are two tools that can be considered from my point of view.

The single best tool you need to become familiar with is Wordtracker. This tool is the proverbial golden egg of Internet marketing. Wordtracker lets you take a keyword and find out all the phrases people are using that incorporate the keyword. You can then take the list of keywords and find out how many searches are occurring on any of the big search engines Yahoo, Google and MSN. On top of this, you can also determine how difficult it will be to get top rankings for the keyword phrases through search engine optimization.

Wordtracker is great because it allows you to determine if there is a market for your idea before you waste time and money on it. It can also be used to come up with ideas for sites. You simply type in a keyword like travel and see if there is a niche with a lot of traffic and a nominal amount of competition for rankings. If you find the niche, you tailor a business idea to it and make a boatload of money.

As if Wordtracker isnt enough, there is a second tool I have come to love. Introducing the article directory. The key to being really profitable on the Internet is getting free traffic. You do this through search engine optimization or by getting publicity. With either area, this has traditionally been accomplished through link trading. Essentially, you agree to put another persons link on your site in exchange for them doing the same with yours. As you might imagine, it takes a long time to build up enough links to get high rankings and publicity. Article directories solve this problem, which makes them great internet marketing tools.

An article directory is exactly what it sounds like. You write an article and deposit it in the directory. Webmaster and editors from all over the world search the directories looking for content for their sites. When they republish your article, you get free publicity. Even better, you will create links in the author area of your article and they will publish those on their site as well. You are either reading this article in a directory or it came from one. Or someone ripped me offlol.

Everyone has there favorite tools they use to have a go at marketing and London SEO. I prefer these, but others would argue for others. In response, all I can say is this work for me and I am far too lazy to go find something new.
