Search engine is all about content and every London SEO gurus have been trying very hard to optimize their pages just for the search engine and often forgetting that the end user is actually the human reader. It is of paramount importance that a page has to be written for humans and designed for search engines in terms of London SEO.

There is nothing more important than creating unique content for a site. In London SEO, allocating keywords in the title, header and bold HTML tags not only helps the reader to identify the topic of a page easily but it also aids in optimization since search engine takes into consideration of the keywords in these tags.

Many writers are concerned about the perfect keyword density for the maximum benefit of London SEO. Unfortunately, there are no hard figures for a perfect keyword percentage. The most important factor when creating content is to make it readable and unique. As long as the content is readable, there is no need to follow a set percentage of keyword density.

Designing a page to facilitate the indexing by the search engine bots is another important factor to consider next to content creation. A page with rich content without indexed by the search engine bots is equivalent to no content at all. To help the search engines to find the page, the navigation system and sitemap plays important roles here. It is advisable to have text links navigation so that bots can spider all the internal pages smoothly. Avoid using JavaScript and Flash made navigation system because most bots will ignore them but designer can always include a set of text links at the bottom of the page where these kinds of navigation system are used to overcome this issue.

Some search engines place great emphasis on the content near the top of a page. Therefore, it is advisable to design the layout in such a way that the content appears before other parts of the page. One example is to use the content first CSS template; it allows the navigation to appear on the left of a page followed by the content but the content is the first to appear in the codes. This method helps search engine bots to identify the important content of a page and index them since they are placed near the top of a page. Another easy work around is to employ a right side navigation menu.

The ultimate purpose of London SEO is to make sure that the designated content appears in search engine according to the specific searches. Making the content readable and designing the page for easy indexing should always be the first priority for webmasters when London SEO comes into play.

Thank you.

Why some people should lower their Google Adwords click through rates

Once you’ve started your Google AdWords campaign and chosen a great set of keywords, your ads may still need some work. No matter how relevant your keywords are, your campaign needs to woo your potential customers, not just freebie seekers.

This seems to be an area that most London PPC marketers fall down on. With all this talk about click thru rate, people miss the bigger issue: the clicks are next to worthless if they dont convert to sales. In fact, they arent even worthless they lose you money. Return on investment is what matters, and everything else is subordinate to that, including (perhaps especially) how many people click on your ads.

So, how do we target buying customers and get rid of the click-hungry tire kickers? Well, there are several strategies I use, and taken together they ensure I get healthy returns on my clicks.

Firstly, pay very close attention to your keywords. By on large, the broader the keyword, the greater the chance of random non-buyers clicking on your ad and costing you money. For example, someone searching for Adwords might want to log into their Adwords account, they might be searching for free content, or they could just be killing time.

Contrast this with a very targeted keyword such as buy Adwords e-book. Well, there is no comparison, the second will tend to convert at ten times the rate of the first, more general keyword but people tend to pay the same for each keyword. I dont know if its because no-one tracks their conversions properly anymore, but in any event dont fall into the trap of believing that all keywords are created equal.

If you are a merchant and have conversion tracking setup on Adwords, pay close attention to where your sales are coming from. The truth might surprise you.

Secondly, add free as a negative keyword to your campaign this will cut out the blatant tyre kickers before they even get a chance to click on our ads.

A third possible strategy is to put your price in the ad, possibly in the headline, eg super new gizmo only $50. However, I dont like this method too much the reason being that the freebie hunters will click anyway, and many potential buyers will be dissuaded from clicking (many copywriters make their price as invisible as possible on the sales letter, why advertise it before they have even read the benefits?)

What I tend to do instead is make a subtle reference to the fact that the information does come with a price tag, using a word such as cheap, low cost, inexpensive, limited offer, discounted price etc. This tends to not only dissuade the hardcore freebie hunters, but will actually make borderline potential buyers curious and more willing to read the sales copy. And that can only be a good thing.

Remember, click through rate is important but only if the people who click are buying. If not, you would be better off pausing your campaigns and trying a more forgiving advertising method.

The internet provides users with a fast and convenient way to look up information and to make purchases. However, there is an unbelievable amount of competition out there and you have to be able to reach the consumers. Almost everyone uses a search engine to type in keywords or phrases to find what they are looking for. However, You may have found that there are pages and pages of hits.

The majority of online users wont venture beyond the first or second page of hits in order to find what they are looking for. Instead they will do a new search with modified keywords. Therefore it is essential that you continually work to get your website recognized among the top listings on the major search engines.

The only way you can do so is through the process of search engine optimization, commonly referred to as London SEO. This can be a very tricky area for many business owners and almost completely overwhelming if you dont take your time to follow the entire process. All of the elements of it have to be in place for London SEO efforts to be successful.

You have to carefully balance providing what the robots for the search engines want while maintaining information that your consumers will find interesting as well as understandable. There is a great deal of research that has to be done in order for London SEO to be effective. You need to find out what the most common keywords and phrases are for your product or service so that you can add them to the materials on your website.

It is important to understand that your London SEO efforts will never be completed. They will always be a work in progress due to the constant shifts in the consumer market. By adding fresh materials to your web pages the robots for them will continue to categorize your information.

The various search engines make money off the advertising that is on their pages so they have to be able to offer the newest and most relevant information for consumers. Otherwise they risk losing the consumers to other search engine sites. Therefore they are careful not to index duplicate information. This way you wont type in a keyword and get 20 hits all with the same or too similar of information to meet your needs.

Almost half of the new online businesses fail because they arent engaging in such practices and therefore they cant reach their target market. Before you launch your website or start advertising your products you need to have effective London SEO strategies in place. There are several to choose from so look for those that will work well for your type of business as well as the budget you have available.

If you arent comfortable with doing London SEO for your business you need to find someone reliable to do it for you. There are plenty of freelancers and professional businesses out there that specialize in London SEO. Dont fool yourself into thinking you can have a successful online business without making London SEO a priority.

Where is my website on Google? Probably overwhelmed by the waves

Meanwhile, for completeness of information, here below some links related to previous articles in reverse chronological order:
- July 2007, Google, penalized or floating website?
- March 2007, Google: from dancer to surfer

But when started these fluctuations?

The first events were recorded at the end of February 2007 and completed by the 20th March, 2007. The second wave began in the last days of June 2007 and seems not to have arrested yet.
Let see point by point what connect websites victim of this particular swinging condition in search results of the Californian search engine.

How to understand if a website is in floating step?

1) Unfortunately, the easiest way, is the most “painful”, in fact just look at the chart path from the site visits by our software collection of statistics web. In fact, this chart will be easy to focus all sine waves that the site has passed. For example, if we take this example:

In fact, here we can see the behaviour of visitors (then the Google access “unfortunately”) over the past 5 months, with a down of the site initially for 1 day, lifts the next day, down to about 3 months, the up for 15 days and the phase fluctuation continues that characterizes daily this site.
From this chart, you can also see and quantify the frequency sine wave, long since up to a week before the PageRank export, but now closer in a few days.
2) the pages of the site is properly indexed in Google, to check do a search on site:nomesito.com

3) the site is not penalized. To check do use some small query listed in that other post (Understand if a site is penalized on Google)

4) the site is no longer present in the top positions of Google (first 2 pages) in the searches for keywords before fluctuation brought traffic to the site. Usually the site for these keywords is about 10-30 results of the first results omitted in the final page (around 950th position)

5) Not all keywords are vanished, but only those secondary and the long-tail (long tail, which means the combination / extension of multiple keywords for example, the long-tail “Rome hotels” can be “hotel in Rome near the station and a vista of the Coliseum”).

6) The site for historical keywords or major ones does not seem to suffer “penalties” in SERP (search results) if not by some “natural” lowering of any position (maximum 5 or 6 positions). This allows the site to have a reduction of traffic generated by Google equal to 90% and not 100%.

7) The fluctuation is not made with regard to the site nor to the page, but precisely for each keywords. Indeed it is possible that a different page for keywords present in a natural way or fluctuation..

What is shown in SERP instead of the site?

Through a somewhat comparisons and analysis with colleagues and friends of the web, I can say that usually instead of “downgraded” sites are proposed search results rather unique, in addition to sites that “merit” in the engine ranking:
- List directory containing the backlink to the site in fluctuation (although this appears to be inserted in the directory)
- Sites SPAM (spam engine, sites that use black-hat techniques, etc.)
- Sites with duplicate contents
- Sites without valid content and concerned for the end user (for example, an e-commerce site that has similar materials but does not have those)

What kind of sites have been affected?

Unlike previous fluctuations associated with new sites with little popularity and low TRUST, the fluctuation of the end of June struck several very authoritative sites with hundreds of backlink, contents valid both at Bristol SEO level and users.

Moreover, it seems not to be no association between the nature of the affected sites. Indeed were downgraded websites:
- E-commerce
- Showcase / Institutional
- With / without Adsense
- From industrial to adult content
- Etc..

When you have these fluctuations?

The fate has it that the beginning or the end of fluctuations coincide with the PageRank export/update. Much more difficult is to find the link between these two actions carried out “simultaneously” by Google.

Why these sites suffer such penalties?

Hard to say, but what I can say is that the idea of cleaning SERP is no longer reliable, given that times are too long and would not guarantee a good service to the end user.

Probably this is the fluctuations due to inclusion/activation of new algorithms that Google tests and try again and re-evaluate the results obtained from the SERP.

But how can a website resolve this situation?

My suggestion is always the same, continue the promotion of the site as if nothing had (I know it is difficult but now there are not immediate remedies) trying to create original content and collect spontaneous links even from sites with high TRUST (we will see later how to recognize and capture the trust of a site).

The ideal would be to became independent from Google, by creating a community always present on the site through a blog or a forum or other innovative services that provide users loyalty.

Web Content (Mass + Keywords) + Links = Birmingham SEO

Of course, the whole goal of the search engines’ ranking schemes is precisely to deliver good, relevant content to users. The mechanism for how search engines select and reward good, relevant content is essentially just a technical issue, though admittedly an extremely important technical issue.

But even in purely technical, mechanistic, terms, web content affects search engine rankings three ways:

1. inbound links

2. website mass

3. keyword optimization

1. Web Content and Inbound Links

Inbound links are the number-one factor in getting search engine rankings. They also yield plenty of traffic on their own. The importance of links is what has led many people to say that content is no longer important. But those people forget that content really does play a big role in getting links in the first place:

* At the very least, good content will make potential link partners more comfortable with linking to your site. No one wants to link to a link farm, splog, junk site, or even just an unprofessional-looking site.

* Lots of good content gives other webmasters (and particularly bloggers) a reason to link to your site spontaneously without being asked.

* You can allow other websites to post your content in exchange for a link back to your site.

2. Web Content Mass

More web pages of content = more search engine traffic

Heres why:

1. Adding pages to your site is like putting out extra nets to catch surfers.
2. Search engines see bigger websites as more prestigious and reliable.
3. The more content you have, the more reasons you give other webmasters, particularly bloggers, to link to your site spontaneously, without being asked.

3. Web Content Keyword Optimization

Keyword optimization used to be the most important step in Birmingham SEO. Now it matters little in ranking for highly competitive keywords.

Still, keyword optimization can really help you get traffic from searches not on competitive keywords. While you may never rank number 1 for “finance,” you may still show up tops for a search on “household finance rent federal tax deductions” if you have that phrase somewhere in your content. Such non-competitive searches make up a very large proportion of total web searches.

Web Content Keyword Optimization Checklist:

There are four legs to keyword optimization:

* Research/selection
* Density
* Prominence
* Stemming/Variation

Keyword Research and Selection

You need to identify keywords searched on by your target audience. Use tools such as those offered by WordTracker and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture).

There are two big pitfalls to avoid:

* “Negative keywords” that look relevant but are not really searched on by your target market. For instance, “website copy” is a synonym for “website content,” but most people searching on “website copy” are looking for software that copies an entire website to the hard drive for offline browsing.

* Impossibly competitive keywords that you have no realistic chance of ranking high for them. How do you know if a keyword is impossibly competitive? One rough measure is to look at the PageRank of the webpages currently ranking in the top three for that keyword. If the PageRank of those pages is much higher than the PageRank your site will likely have in the future, you will probably never outrank those pages.

A pay-per-click campaign with Google Adwords of Yahoo! Search Marketing will help you to find which keywords really are searched on by your target audience.

Keyword Density

Keywords appear in the content the right number of times for search engines to recognize the page as relevant, but not so often that it looks like keyword stuffing. The longer the content, the more times the keyword should appear.

Keyword Prominence

Keywords appear in just the right positions within your web pages for search engines to recognize them as relevant. The page title, headings, and first lines of the page are often considered the most prominent positions.

Keyword Stemming/Keyword Variation

* Using variations of the keyword will help ensure web pages appear relevant to the next generation of more sophisticated search engine algorithms.

* In the meantime, variations of popular keywords helps your site appear for the “non-standard” searches on variations of the keyword.

There are three main types of keyword variations:

* Word-stem variations. A stem of a word is its base. For instance, “optimize” is the stem of “optimized.” Other stem variations of “optimize” include “optimizing,” “optimizer,” and “optimization.” You can also shuffle the component words of multiple-word keywords. Variations of website content would be web site content, web content, content for websites, and site content).

* Synonyms (such as web page content, internet content, or writing for the web for website content).

* Related terms (such as internet, Birmingham SEO or web page).

For many people, the Birmingham SEO side of content feels like a moot point. You need content for your visitors even if no search engine spider ever notices. But every website budget, both of money and time, is finite. If you’re ever choosing whether to invest in another link to please search engines or another page of content to please your visitors, don’t forget: search engines still like content, too.

Top Tips And Techniques To Improve Search Engine Rank Of Your Website.

Various techniques are used by Specialists and Webmasters to Improve Search Engine Rank. This is because more than 80% of the people who want to know something go to the Search Engines to get what they want. Hence a Good Search Engine Rank is extremely important for the success of your Internet Marketing Business. Given below are some very Special Tips and Techniques that will help you in your efforts to Improve Search Engine Rank of your website.

1. FOCUS ON KEYWORD.

Choose Your Keyword:

The first and most important step is to choose the right keywords for which you wish to rank well. You have to focus on this because all your efforts are going to be centered around this. While doing this for your home page it is important to adopt the same procedure and target different keywords for different pages of your site. This is because search engines match each query with the most relevant page and not the site.

Target The Right Keyword:

Optimizing your site for a popular keyword and securing a high page rank is not enough. You should optimize for the right keyword that is most relevant to your site otherwise your efforts will be in vain.
The keywords that you choose should be specific. Since there is fierce competition for popular single word keywords, it is better to choose two or three word phrases that specifically describe your site content.
Though you might obtain a good page rank with a very well optimized site and it appears high in the results, if no one searches for them in the search engines you are not going to enjoy the benefits of a high PR. so choose one that is reasonably popular and ones that people actually type.

2. INTEGRATE KEYWORD.

Once the right keywords relevant to your site are chosen, you should now integrate these keywords into your site, placing very special attention to places where Search Engines look.

Website URL:

It is very important that you have at least one of the important keywords in the URL.This will help the search engine to understand what your site is all about.

Page

To improve page rank the page title is another important place to integrate your keywords. Since this too gives an indication to the search engine useful information about your site. Though most sites use the same title for all the pages, it is better to have different titles with specific keywords integrated into it, reflecting the content in that particular page.

Page Content:

It is a well known fact that the page content or text is most important to search engines. So to improve page rank you should focus all your attention to ensure that the targeted keywords are well represented in your content. Unless these keywords appear in the text your chances of obtaining a good page rank will be remote.
In addition to having your keywords in the text of the page three very important criteria should also be adhered to, which is very often overlooked by most webmasters.

a. Use keywords frequently but do not stuff your page with keywords. Search Engines do not approve keyword stuffing.

b. Place your keywords close to each other. This helps the the search engines.

c. Place the keywords near the top of your page in the page content.

3. OBTAIN LINKS FROM OTHER SITES.

To improve search engine rank another important thing you should do is to get other sites to link to you, because the number of links, linking to your site is a measure of popularity. Most search engines consider link popularity as the most important factor in deciding the relevance of a site.
It becomes obvious that you should put in a lot of effort to get as many sites as possible to link to you.

If it is a new site get a link from a website that has already been listed in search engines.

Search Engines look at not only the number of sites that link to you but also the quality of the sites that link to you. In other words a link from a popular and relevenant P7 site is much better than several links from smaller sites. Hence quality is considered more important than quantity. A judicious mix of quality and quantity will help improve search engine rank.

4. META TAG:

It is an embedded HTML tag that contains descriptive information, keywords and other information about a web page and does not appear when the web page is displayed in a browser.
There was a time when search engines relied on Meta tags to assess the sites relevance and rank them. Most Search Engines no longer rely on meta tags since they have developed new systems for this purpose. Nevertheless it is advisable to have them to improve search engine rank.

5. ALT TAG:

Another important aspect that is often overlooked is the importance of ALT tags. Search Engines don’t index images. They can’t read them; so to fix this problem there are ALT tags which are descriptions of images that are recognized by search engines. So to get the search engines to recognize the images on your site, ALT tags with keywords can be used which will in turn help you to improve your rank in search engines.

Finally a word of advice, do not try to trick the search engines by using unaccecptable techniques becuse it will not pay in the long run and you could get penalised. By following these methods you will succeed in your attempt to improve search engine rank yourself and be happy and proud of your achievement. Advice from a Specialist will certainly be of help if your intention is to reach the top.

Web Site Theme- Is your sites theme search engine friendly?

Your websites theme is very important to its success. When your site is indexed by search engines, they actually review your sites theme as well as other content. The theme must be carefully planned. Here are some tips for developing a proper web site theme that will make search engines happy as well.

Choose a design that revolves around keywords and keyword phrases. For example, if your sites keywords are sporting goods, choose design elements that are associated with sporting goods. Use bright colors such as red and yellow. Use elements that are high impact and exciting, similar to thoughts associated with sporting goods.

Focus on the types of products, services, and information you seek to promote. You are selling sporting goods, not bedding. Focus on sporting goods and stay on that approach. Dont get side tracked with a certain color theme you favor. Make your keywords the main focus of your theme. Make them bigger, and make them stand out against all the other content.

Search engine spiders review website theme as to how it relates to keywords. It is a complicated algorithm, but it takes into consideration the use of keywords and links. Search engines look for lots of content related to the main theme throughout the site, so its a good idea to have lots of information written for your site.

Lots of work should go into choosing the perfect theme for your site. Make sure you are truly representing what you wish to provide. If you get bogged down with too many keywords or keyword phrases, you may need to consider additional websites that focus around this theme, instead of flooding your own site with too many products.

Remember, the theme of the website should be appealing to users as well as the search engines. Once a theme is finalized, there are many more steps to make your site optimized for search engines. A theme is only the beginning. But it should be a strong foundation from which your site will grow and develop.

I look at a lot of sites on a daily basis. There are a lot of common problems I see on sites. Some people may have tags set-up improperly or use tags that have no real purpose. I have compiled a list of the 5 top do-it-yourself Liverpool SEO errors. It’s safe to say that many do-it-yourselfers may have at least one of these errors on their sites. These should help you omit these often costly mistakes and pull you up in the ranks.

1) Keyword tag A keyword tag is for keywords, but not for any keywords. You cant just stuff this tag with keywords that your entire site is related to. The tags should reflect keywords only on that particular page; not the entire site and not every keyword you think your site might be searched on. Also, you should have no more then 20 words in the tag. You should not repeat any word more than 3 times. If you sell tickets, for example, don’t write: Broadway tickets, circus tickets, hockey tickets, boxing tickets and so on. Do use Broadway, circus, hockey, boxing, tickets and so on.

2) Abstract tag It is sometimes used as a replacement for or combined with a description tag. However, more and more people are using these to stuff keywords. Search engines like Google are interested in what is on the page. More specifically, what visitors can view. In my opinion, the abstract tag has no place on a site.

3) Description Tag The whole point behind this tag is to describe what the page is about. Keywords related to the page should be implemented as well. The limit on words should be 20 25. I see many website owners stuffing this tag with keywords, or having a description that is entirely too lengthy. Stay within these guidelines and you will be fine.

4) Title tag This, to me, is the most important tag. This is the first tag the search engine reads. It tells the search engine what the page is about. Don’t put your web address here. Do not add your company name in the beginning of this tag either. It should not exceed 60 characters.

5) Content- If you notice, I have been commenting on relevancy to the page, not your overall site. Each page has its own keywords. Tag the title tag, description and keyword tags. All of these keywords should be the same. Add them to your content as well. Now your page should be fairly well optimized.

Why do sites fall short? Simple, content is not optimized. Search engines are, for the most part, pretty basic. You type in a search term and it retrieves sites containing those terms while also taking a few other factors into account. So, if your site doesnt have these terms, how will you be found? You wont. Over do it with keywords and you will experience the same result, but for different reasons. Sometimes reading everything about Liverpool SEO can be bad. Trying too many tricks, tips or methods is like too many cooks spoiling the soup. In the end they can do more bad than good. These are very basic rules that should be followed by all. In, doubt? Always consult or hire an Liverpool SEO professional.

Backlinks are a highly important and necessary part of any successful website. Backlinks are essential for Search Engine Optimization (Manchester SEO) because they help to judge the popularity and importance of the website based on their backlinks to other sites. That is the main reason there are so many directories online. One well known directory is the Canadian Business Directory. Ca that is well known for accepting Canadian only businesses. You get listed and you get a backlink, simple as that.
Search engines use a number of standard criteria to rate sites on the web and backlinking is high on the list. Backlinks are actually rated by the various search engines by keywords and the content of the backlinked sites.
For example, if your site is about how to cook a hamburger, you would do better by linking to a site about recipes or food preparation than by linking to a site about downhill luging. Why? Because search engines actually cross check the content of not only the link, but the actual sites the link is connecting so they (search engines) can make sure the webmaster is not trying to gain higher Manchester SEO by doing things like running several unrelated sites at the same time and linking them together, using hidden links, or using automatically generated pages.
Backlinking is an effective way to generate website visits, but you have to understand that you site will not become popular overnight. Backlinking is a way of getting that needed traffic to your site and you have to do it correctly and smartly.
A great way to achieve visits is by linking to other similar or related sites to yours. For instance, lets use the hamburger example again. Sites you would want to link to would be sites for frying pans, barbeques, or sites that are associated with growing the cows.
By doing this, the search engines will pick up on the fact that you are using quality links that fit into the area of your sites expertise.
Another way to create strong backlinks is through hyperlinks. When you are creating your hyperlinks, dont simply put Qlick here, use Visit the tips page for hints on how to make the best hamburger. This will ensure your links are using the same terms as your site and those you backlink to.
If your business is in Canada then submit your web site to this Canadian Directory to improve your backlinks.

If you are the owner, operator or manager of an Internet business, you likely find yourself constantly on the hunt for ways in which you can draw more traffic to your Internet business website. In this regard, one program that you might want to consider implementing is the use of keyword enriched articles at your Internet website. In this regard, you may not understand exactly what is meant by and involved with keyword enriched articles.

When a person undertakes a search, using a search engine service on the Internet and World Wide Web, a person uses certain words and terms in order to find what he or she is seeking through a particular search engine search. Generally speaking, these words and terms and phrases are known as keywords and keyword phrases.

By way of example, say that you are a seller of widgets on the Internet, that you market widgets through your Internet based websites. If a person was looking for widgets, that person would type widgets or keyword phrases that contain the word widgets into a search engine search. If the word widgets is used appropriately on the website that you are operating, a person searching for widgets — perhaps a person looking to buy widgets — very well may end up at your website. You will want your website to end up high on the list of a persons search results.

One method that you can utilize to ensure that your website obtains a higher ranking in searches relevant to your website and your business is the use of keyword enriched articles at your website. When a search engine undertakes a search, if you have properly placed keyword enriched articles at your website, you will be able to draw more traffic to your site because these search engines will pick up the keywords used in one or another of these articles.

When all is said and done, you will want to give serious consideration to the inclusion of keyword enriched articles at your business website. The use of keyword enriched articles within your business website can be a helpful tool to drawing more traffic to your business website, to drawing more customers of clients to your business. In the end, the use of keyword enriched articles can work to increase the profits from your business enterprise both now and well into the future.
